Frequently Asked Questions
How long does refinishing take?
Most projects run 3ā5 days end to end ā sanding, optional stain, then 2ā3 coats with cure time between each.
Is the sanding really dustless?
99% dust capture vented into a HEPA vacuum outside. Some fine residue is unavoidable, but it is nothing like traditional sanding.
Do you travel to NH, RI, and Maine?
Yes ā all four New England states. For projects outside Greater Boston we batch travel days and plan multi-day jobs accordingly.
Water-based or oil-based polyurethane?
Default is water-based ā zero-VOC, fast cure, stays clear for decades. Oil-based available on request for a warmer amber tone.
How soon can we walk on them?
Socks at 24 hours, furniture at 48ā72 hours, area rugs after 7 days, full cure at 14ā30 days depending on finish.
Can you match my existing floor?
Almost always. We color-match stain and feather in new boards so repairs and additions blend with what you already have.
